We had a lot of stuff going on at the Mad Catz booth during Tokyo Game Show! Thankfully, our friends at 4Gamer captured all of the good stuff for our viewers to see! During the two days that were open to the public we had amazing interview sessions and exhibitions for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012, SOULCALIBUR V  and TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2!

During the first public day of TGS we had a special talk show session with Street Fighter X Tekken & Street Fighter IV  producer, Tomoyaki Ayano from Capcom. Joining him during the special talk show was none other than Mad Catz’ very own Kenryo “Mago 2DGOD” Hayashi and Daigo “The Beast” Umehara! After a series of discussions about the upcoming PS Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken  and some giveaways, we were well underway for a three-way exhibition between some of Mad Catz’ finest: Daigo, MAGO, and Hajime “TOKIDO” Taniguchi!

Later during the first day we had a special challenge match for SOULCALIBUR V! Even SCV  game producer Daishi Odashima was in attendance to check out the action. EVOLUTION 2012 champion of SCV, Shining Decopon, and TOKIDO of Mad Catz battled in a special best-of-five exhibition match for the TGS crowd! It was an incredible series of matches and while we won’t spoil it for you, you have to see how amazing these guys are! Special thanks to Japanese fighting-game legend Hameko for providing commentary during the bout!

During the last day of TGS, we were visited by TEKKEN  series director, Katsuhiro Harada and had another special talk show event to discuss TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2, the Wii U version of the game and the upcoming Mad Catz TTT2 Arcade FightStick TE S+! Special thanks to forgenjuro for mediating the talk show!

After the discussions, some of Japan’s best TEKKEN  fighters played a special exhibition match. NoRespect’s Yuu & Nobi along with TOUGEKI TTT2 Champion, FRB AO, battled to display high level TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2  match play for the growing crowd. The matches are in the video below and start at around 11 minutes in if you want to go straight to the action!

Thanks again to Hameko for providing the hype commentary! Tokyo Game Show was a lot of fun for us! Thank you everyone who watched/attended the event. We look forward to more shows and events in the future!
