Prepare for the next evolution in keyboard technology. With its modular layout, the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 allows you to take control of the game by setting up the keyboard to your exact preference. Don’t like the NumPad on the right side of your keyboard? That’s not a problem with the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 – - simply detach the module from the keyboard and move it anywhere you want. This is just one of the many useful features we’ve implemented into the device.

Use one of the many apps available on the V.E.N.O.M. OLED touchscreen to quickly launch games and applications, track the enrage timer of a boss in your favorite MMO, adjust backlighting, or just take notes. As videogames get more complicated, you’ll want a keyboard which features a seemingly endless supply of buttons. The S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 incorporates 24 programmable buttons over three modes to create 72 user-definable commands. Map your favorite spells, weapons, macros and shortcuts to any of the programmable buttons to make gaming a whole lot easier.

Stop letting your average keyboard hold you back. The S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 is the weapon of choice if you want the tactical advantage. Become IMBA.

What’s the length of the warranty?

    • Mad_Catz_Mod

Hey Z00000m, the length of the warranty is two years.

    • Cyborg Tech

Hi Z00000m! The warranty lasts 2 year from the date of purchase.

I hope that helps. Have a great weekend :)

  • GordonFreeman

so…why is there a Half-Life 3 logo in the trailer at 0:37? Please, don’t troll us MadCatz, us fans get enough of that from Valve.

    • MadCatzTech

Hi GordonFreeman :) ! So, we’ve packed quite a bit of functionality into the VENOM touchscreen, but the entire length of the video was just a quick minute-twenty. That is, well, quite-quick :) and just not enough time to showcase everything included in such a feature rich hardware behemoth. Because of that, we opted to display the features that would be most commonly be used (i.e. the Macro screen).

Since you can use the VENOM touchscreen to create custom macros, all icon-images are recognized and usable, and it will (probably) be used for gaming; what you’ll see in the video is a collection of very different gaming, editing, and commonly used media icons. In this way, we can effectively exhibit core features we think customers will love, and still have time also kick the tires.

  • Gloone

    Why is there a Half-Life 3 icon?

Seriously Madcatz, if you are trolling gamers, they aren’t going to buy your product.

    So what gives?

    • Mad_Catz_Mod

You can launch apps/games from the V.E.N.O.M. touchscreen. Any game’s icon can be displayed there, the HL3 icon was just for proof of concept.

ah nice they put stuff in there.. now a SDK PLEASE!!!

  • Sith69

If this had a thumbstick, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Doesn’t look like it has one though.

  • Anthony

Love your products! However, with a market becoming  more intrigued by once popular mechanical keyboards,  a membrane keyboard that “mimics” the tactile feel isn’t going to cut it at almost $300. Even for enthusiast gamers. If margins were really that tight on this product, you guys should consider packaging the keyboard with the side wheel wrist rest as a standalone package and market the modules separately.

  • vulshock

There will be an EU layout version?

    • http://www.facebook.com/marcwofford Marc Alexander Wofford

I think you can probably just change the order of the keys, since they’re detachable anyways. After that its up to your computer to have different layout options.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!

    • Baggy

      LOL

  • Michael

This keyboard looks really nice, but for that price? I think that is way too much to ask for it. And i must agree with Anthony though. Also i would really like to see a thumb-stick on it, especially for that amount of money. Maybe if it would be mechanic, had a thumb-stick(metal with some good grip on it) and the price was lower i would consider buying this. I Already own a RAT9 mouse, and sometimes it moves the cursor by itself to the lower right-corner. So when a keyboard is €299,- I expect it to be absolutely perfected. Please make a upgraded version and lower the overall price, and i will buy this! And probably will keep buying Cyborg products.
Otherwise, I don’t think i will get Cyborg again

  • AL65

Bought it and tryed it the whole week-end. Really good product. It would be awesome to give an sdk quickly or more apps because I’d really like it to be compatible with mumble for example. Msn would be awesome too :)

  • Stubi

What about the venom displays capabilities in terms of powerful programs like an integrated web browser, which is currently a nice gimmick, which should be aimed at. The competitors have it and it seems to be more powerful.

So, what about the power of venom. Is it able to get such an app? This would proof, that you would have the same possibilities as the competitors and that is really not only a better g19display with just ts3 built in.

This is serious question, because you could ruin your customer relation, if the venom display turns out to be just displaying game data with apps. Please answer, because I would like to buy one NOW! :)

    • Mad_Catz_Mod

We do have plans to increase the functionality of the V.E.N.O.M. touchscreen and we will have more to announce when those features are ready.

      • Stubi

Thx, but could there be an anouncement abou plans? I mean: people do not know about the ongoing support for a product, which not many player could or would afford. Will you feature many apps? Will you provide the community with an SDK ? A big comunity can do more things. Is it planned to enclude venom display tech to other products to enlarge the comunity usage and to introduce a general compatibility within the different products (apps compatible with all venom displays , no matter on which device?).
Some of these questions should be very useful to enlarge customer base and create a powerful comunity. :)

      • DanteMccloud

@Mad_Catz_Mod:disqus I can’t wait!!! could you give us a nibble of info on whats to come? an SDK or any means for the community to create apps for this? ability to run game parsers off the V.E.N.O.M.? display in game stats or other such things!?!? :D

  • méloche

the keyboard is compatible teamspeak, that’s great, what about mumble?

    • DanteMccloud

I would LOVE to have my Teamspeak function on the Vemon pad optional to become a mumble interface

  • Baggy

I just purchased one of these and can’t wait for it to arrive. TBH, this is probably much more keyboard than I need but I can easily afford it so why not? I currently have a Logitech G19 that has served me well but several of the keys have died or are dying. The one feature of that keyboard I love the most is the LCD screen. I like using it for TS3 and Ventrilo. The touchscreen on the Stalker looks like it blows the doors off it though. As for the key action, I don’t really mind that it is not mechanical. Actually, I don’t use the keyboard itself for gaming all that much as I also have a Razer Nostromo and Naga Epic which allows me to be pretty much hands off the keyboard while playing. So like I said, probably overkill for me. :p

The only thing that I have a question/concern about is future development for the touch screen and if there are plans to support other voice apps like Ventrilo in the future, as well as integrated monitoring for use with AIDA/GPU/CPU-Z/SpeedFan/etc. type apps. Seems like it would just be a matter of software/licensing cause a keyboard like this just shouldn’t be without it. ;)

  • Eagle

    Hi

this board looks pretty cool but 270 Euros is a very hard price for that.
this keyboard has no open SDK…. so for me its pointless to buy that product.

mad catz pls change that, or make more gadgets like cpu, gpu, core temps, rpms of casefans, display stats of games like bf3 PS2 etc. there are so many more things we can do with an sdk…..do that and u have a large amount more buyers….sry for bad english greets from Leipzig GER

    • DanteMccloud

Eagle is dead on being able to run stats from MMO’s or other games would be awesome or even be able to run parsers for online games and such omg the mere thought makes me /drool .

  • Svenne

So, i recently bougth the keyboard, and i was checking around on the touchscreen and came across a buttom in the option section, and the screen restarted and needed to hit some thing flying from corner to corner and after that i can’t press the buttoms, or well i can, but for example if i press teamspeak buttom it will go to the media player, so how do i reset my touchscreen?

    • Mad_Catz_Mod

      Hey Svenne-

There may be a couple different ways to solve your problem, so the best thing to do would be to visit our support site (http://support.madcatz.com/) and start a ticket so one of our customer support specialists can assist you. Thanks!

      • Svenne

Yeah i made a ticket same day i posted here, but thanks anyway and i hope this can be fixed :)

  • DanteMccloud

Any chance on releasing some information about the support for this product? maybe a sneak peek at a S.D.K(Software Development Kit) for the community to make stuff. Or maybe some sneak peeks of new V.E.M.O.N. apps like a Mumble version for the display rather then just a Teamspeak app. or at least something haven’t heard or seen any developments about it in months.

  • tim-m

I just bought this keyboard and was happy with it about 2 min) before I pressed calibration button in settings menu that made my touchscreen crazy and useless( Got the same problem as Svenne has. Mad Catz what is this keyboard suicide button for???) How can I reset touchscreen to factory settings? or if anybody knows how to fix this please HELP!)

    • DanteMccloud

there is a guide on the forums for it. google it the mods don’t seem to respond often here or in the ticket system…

    • Alrx02

Did you find out how to factory reset your keyboard ? I have the same problem as you and can’t find any solution..

  • DanteMccloud

any new developments? haven’t seen a mod post in over a month. Is there still ongoing dev work on this keyboard and more apps coming for the vemon?

  • DanteMccloud

Soooo about them updates? When are we gonna see the V.E.N.O.M support a mumble layout rather then only a Teamspeak layout and other applications? or a SDK PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • VitalX

It seems like we are forgotten with our strikes: no sdk, no updates, no real planes from developers for months… dead product… It’s a pity, the idea was nice.

    • DanteMccloud

^ accurate…. Dev’s and moderators alike won’t even comment they clearly don’t want to keep their player base up to date or satisfied.. kinda feel like getting this keyboard was a bad buy.. if i knew madcatz was gonna abandon the product I would of gotten another keyboard like the darkslider one or w/e it’s called with the same features and like a 5th of the price.

      • VitalX

wrong buy, it’s true. It’s not a problem for me to change a keyboard, and I’m going to do this… and not only… I’m going to ruin mad catz’s reputation in other inet resources – let it be a little compensation for my money loss if other customers wiil not support their invalid business :(

  • DanteMccloud

another week and no update from a mod or dev about any information what gives?

  • DanteMccloud

There goes 2 more weeks… just give us an SDK and the community will improve on the keyboard for ya :) we will make it the beast it deserves to be!!! mwhahaha seriously though… if you’re not going to release updates please give us a Software Development Kit for the keyboards V.E.N.O.M. screen and let us do the modding.
