…Mame Spider, swinging into Season’s Beatings: Ascension, taking place this weekend (September 28–30) in Independence, Ohio. The entire gamut of fighting-game tournaments will be on display, including Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, King of Fighters XIII, TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2, Mortal Kombat, SOULCALIBUR V, Persona 4 Arena, Dead or Alive 5, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

After a formidable debut at EVOLUTION 2012, defeating veteran Marvel  player “Cl0ckWork” of BrokenTier, Mame Spider is once again back on US soil. Before he could board his 15-hour flight, we asked his thoughts on his personal evolution since Las Vegas, how the Japanese Marvel  scene is growing organically, and everyone’s favorite point of contention: tier lists.
