Halo 4 Launch Event – Liechtenstein
– Microsoft isn’t known for holding back on their marketing, but the recent European launch of Halo 4 was epic by anyone’s standards. In one of the most ambitious marketing launches ever undertaken, Microsoft decided to take over Lichtenstein.
Specially invited guests were kept completely in the dark about the possible venue and the activity to heighten the sense of realism. Flown in from around Europe, none were expecting the assault on the senses that was about to unfold.
Game landscapes were accurately recreated including outfitting Gutenberg castle as a Halo 4 military base, a full camp in the countryside and an abandoned mine within which the battleground was set. Transported in military convoys, fully immersed in the action, Europe’s biggest fans of the franchise were rewarded with a night they will never forget.
The game was, of course, in abundance at the event, each gaming station equipped with TRITTON’s official Halo 4 Trigger headset and a number of lucky winners walked away with the top prize – one of our very special TRITTON Halo 4 Warhead 7.1 Wireless Surround Headset.
Halo 4 Launch Event – Singapore

– Singaporeans love to queue for the latest consumer craze, and thousands of video game enthusiasts rushed down to Funan DigitaLife Mall for the Halo 4 launch on November 6th. Pre-order sales were handed over to fanatics when the clock struck 1:00pm, but the entire event lasted well until 8:00pm with Deathmatch tournaments, prize giveaways, and exquisite cosplay that bizarrely resembled Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, hardly something to complain about.
According to national newspaper Straits Times, the head of the serpentine line was none other than a young 19 year old lad named Jehangir Shaik Aziz. He woke at the crack of dawn a day earlier to start his camping on the floor outside the venue for a total of 30 hours before he was crowned as Master Queue. A devoted fan of the Halo franchise who has owned each version of the game since the original release, the vivacious student waltzed away with a limited edition Halo 4 poster and mini-statue of Master Chief. We believe he should have been rewarded with the premium edition Halo 4 Warhead 7.1 headset for being the Singaporean version of Isaiah “Triforce” Johnson, having braved the elements for the love of gaming.
The legion of young Halo fans occupying the entire ground floor of Funan Mall was reminiscent of their slightly older counterparts during the Windows 8 launch a few week ago at the same location, where Victor Lim was the first in line to get the new OS. – Check out our gallery below from the midnigh launch event in Seattle, WA, where gamers lined up to be among the first to get their hands Halo 4! It wasn’t just fans lined up, either! Seattle Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman was in attendance to get his copy, while Xbox’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb was on hand to thank the crowd and send them Forward Unto Dawn. Get it, because it was a midnight launch, then dawn is a couple hours later, and that’s also the name of the ship in… ahhh, forget it.
