While this post is technically coming to you while day three of EVOLUTION 2012 is just getting under way, there were so many great sights in the second half of day two that we just had to share.

In the afternoon, Mad Catz’ Daigo “The Beast” Umehara and Kenryo “Mago 2DGOD” Hayashi set up at the Mad Catz booth to sign posters, t-shirts, FightSticks, and even a couple auto-biographies for hundreds of fans.

In the evening, Keita “Fuudo” Ai and Mad Catz’ Hajime “TOKIDO” Taniguchi, along with Mad Catz & Western Wolves’ Korean contingent of INFILTRATION and LAUGH, advanced to the top eight of the Street Fighter X Tekken tournament.

Then, the main event of day two came at nearly 1:00AM: The Super Street Fighter II Turbo Legends Tournament! The CRT monitors were broken out so eight of the greatest SSF2T players could take the stage for this special one-night, single-elimination challenge! Daigo and TOKIDO both were up there to represent Mad Catz, and though ultimately they were both eliminated from the tournament, their match-ups delighted the fans late into the night.
