With the first day of EVOLUTION 2012 wrapped up, it is safe to say that this is already shaping up to be one of the most memorable events the Fighting Game Community has seen in quite some time. Competitors from around the world tested their skills at SOULCALIBUR V, King of Fighters XIII, and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition throughout the day until only a (highly skilled) few remained.
The Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition semi-finals were especially exciting, with Mad Catz’ Daigo Umehara keeping his assassin-like calm to overcome GamerBee’s onslaught in order to advance to the Top 8. Daigo will face Mad Catz & Western Wolves’ INFILTRATION in the Top 8 on Sunday!
