It’s getting close, the biggest event in the European pro-gaming calendar, if not the world, DreamHack Winter 2012 is upon us, and Mad Catz is going BIG. We will be bringing you coverage throughout the weekend right here on www.madcatz.com, and through Facebook and Twitter as the events unfold.

The fun begins even before the tournament as we travel from Stockholm to Jönköping on an all-eSports bus ride hosted by Swedish YouTube sensation Tejbz! Tejbz will have a busy weekend, as he will also be acting as the official onstage presenter of DreamHack!

The main event of DreamHack is the EIZO open, featuring the best StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty players from around the world, including the full lineup of Mad Catz and Western Wolves competitors. With over 550,000SEK ($81,000USD) in prize money up for grabs, this will undoubtedly be one of the most hotly contested tournaments of the weekend!

The Mad Catz Battlefield 3 tournament is attracting the best international talent as well, and participants can look forward to competing on our S.T.R.I.K.E.7 keyboards and our F.R.E.Q.5 headsets. All the matches will be streamed on Twitch.TV, stay tuned for the link.

We are also going to be unleashing Mad Catz and Western Wolves’ new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team on the world. Although all members are experienced Counter-Strike 1.6 players (and are the only team to have beaten the superstar team NiP), this will be their first big competitive tournament. They have been training hard and we’ll be following their progress with great interest.

For many though, the highlight will be Mad Catz Fight Friday, and the attendance of the world’s best fighting games players, the legendary Western Wolves team. LAUGH and INFILTRATION from South Korea, the UK’s Andreas “Premium Hands” Demetriou, all in the top form of their lives, and Femi “F-Word” Adeboye, a true rising star of the genre, all lead by the inimitable Ryan “Prodigal Son” Hart, the captain of the Western Wolves team.

We’ll have more information about Mad Catz Fight Friday coming up tomorrow, but be sure to stay glued to www.madcatz.com and Armshouse.TV on Friday for all the coverage from Jönköping!
